What is your Song?

In today's walk with Christ we are in a constant battle with the enemy (devil) which is understandable because he is against our Savior, but what bothers me is that the devil has turned the tables and we find ourselves fighting against each other, through religion, doctrine, and our beliefs. Mark 2:16-17 says:
And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Our main focus should be about SOULS. But in this segment I would like to deal with your song, what are you singing? a song of deliverance or a song of defeat? the other day I had a dream concerning my youngest son, he was being bullied by a few young man and I called out to him, when he came to me he was crying, I ask him what was wrong, he responded that the young men was beating him up, so I ask him what was he doing while they were beating him and he said singing. That brought to my remembrance 2 Chronicle 20:17-25 there are times when we don't have to lift a finger, that was a song of deliverance (is that your song) I'm pretty sure that King Jehoshaphat and the Children of Israel thought God had losted His mind, but through obedience they won the battle but more importantly they were rewarded with all of the possessions of these 3 nations. Now I'm reminded of the story about the battle of Ai when God had promised the children of Israel that they would win this battle as well, so Joshua sent some spies to scout out the land and when they returned they had this boastful attitude because the army was so small, they said to Joshua we don't need that many soldiers we can take this land. But many of us know the story, Ai whipped their socks off all because of disobedience. That was a song of defeat (is that your song) God said I will make the enemy your footstool, (Ps. 110:1) but that does come with a price, are you willing to pay? Let's stop fighting amongst ourselves and use that energy on the devil.

Stop the Negative Talk

Greetings to you My brothers and sisters, So often we down play who we are or the situation we're in. Where ever you are now in your life whether good or bad look at it as a process or preparation to your destiny. We are to pattern our lives after the Savior of the world Jesus Christ He had disappointments and set backs in His life but He didn't allow it to keep Him down, Also He experienced people talking about Him, calling Him names, even so called friends stabbing Him in the back but He kept His focus on the real purpose of why He came to earth. There is a purpose to your life a reason that God chose you. (Search It out.) We as a human race always use negative statements to give ourselves little comfort, statements like I can't win for losing well Romans 8:37 tells us Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. The word nay in the greek simple means Indeed  so let us read that passage like this, Indeed, in ALL these things we are more than just winners or defeaters through Him that loved us. So next time you face a disappointing situation say it like this I can't lose for Winning. Another one we use often is If I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have luck at all. Proverbs 18:21 states Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. I understand that to mean, Doom or Peace are in my tongue, so I can speak how I choose to live My life, that's not to say we won't have some misfortune in our lives but we have the power to control the outcome. Here's another one I always get the short end of the stick. My brothers and sisters we must be go getters. Stop waiting on someone to hand it to you, You have the ability to grab it yourself. Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. The word power means Authority to take what you want from the enemy. Many times I have heard Christians say I don't want nothing the enemy has, most of the time he has what belongs to us anyway, (Joy, Peace, Sanity, happiness, Our Children, Our Marriage, and even our Finances among other things.) So I admonish you to stop accepting the short end and grab the long end. One last statement I'm always the last chosen. Matthew 20:16 says it best, So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. You need to count your blessings that you are last.

Power to Change

In today's segment we will be discussing the power to change. (change what you may ask?, Yourself and those around us.) Let us look up the meaning of Power- ability to act or produce an effect,  : possession of control, authority, or influence over others, so if I'm understanding correctly, with power we have the ability and authority to change any situation. Luke 10:19 says: Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. The key part in this verse is that God has giving us all power over the enemy, so if we are exercising our authority, there should never be a time that the devil has the victory, whether it's in our lives or the lives of others. As Christians we find ourselves complaining about how this world is in bad shape, God has called us to do something about it, and that is to extend our God giving love to them. There are Men and Women that are bound and trapped in their minds with their identity and looking for a way out and we as a church is not offering them the way. John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. We are not offering them Jesus, we would rather judge them than to labor with that soul, we have more important things on our agenda than to see people giving their hearts to Christ. God is angry and He will judge this hypocritical church. We are more concerned with the outside of our beautiful edifice than the inside of the human soul. Ezekiel 18:4 says: Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. From what I understand this to mean is that the soul of the homosexual, thief, drug dealer, lesbian, liar, murderer and any other sinner belongs to God. In order for them to turn from their ways we must stop being so judgemental. When Jesus walked this earth He went from town to town spreading love no matter what the extent of the sin was. Remember the woman at the well, John 4, remember the sinner that washed His feet, Luke 7:36-50 and we can go on and on, let me ask you a question, are you better or more important than Jesus? My brothers and sisters it is time for us to change this world for Jesus with Love.

Forgiving is Forgetting

Greetings to You on our Lords day. I want to start out by saying there is Power in Forgiving, let us look in depth of the word power, (possession of control, authority, or influence over others) We should always be in control of the situation. There should never be a time where we hold a grudge to the point of not forgiving. I understand that people do things intentional to set us off,  but as long as we hold unforgiveness in our heart they have power over us. Matthew 18:21-22 reads: Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?   22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. in verse 21 the word sin in the greek means to (offend, err or be mistaken) the synonym for forgiving is- exempt (do not hold accountable) synonym for forgetting is- block or blank out.  Definition of forgiving is- dismiss from the mind, stop remembering. In other words when we have been done wrong we have to learn how to dismiss it and block it out of our mind, I know you are probably saying that's easier said than done, but we must work really hard on ourselves and not allow people to frustrate us to the point where we lose our focus on the main goal which is Heaven. In closing I would like to say I know we use the line I will forgive but I won't forget, let us be better than our enemies and show them that we are the bigger person by Forgiving and Forgetting.

JUDGE NOT

Greetings Brothers & Sisters, Before we begin I would like you to keep one thing in mind, All Saints have a past, and all Sinners have a future. with that being said let's look into the word of God, Matthew 7:2 states, For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. In other words when you are ready to pronounce judgement on someone, just remember yesterday God had mercy on you. Romans 2:1 says it like this, Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. I understand that to mean God will not excuse us if we judge, We are to be compassionate. If we take 90% to mind our on business and take the other 10% to leave other folks business alone that would leave no room for judging someone else faults. As Christians our duty is to draw the world with love and kindness (Jeremiah 31:3) not beating them over the head with the bible, lets remember what John 3:17 states: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Romans 3:23 explains it like this, For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; In conclusion let us love as Christ loves.

The New Year 2011

Happy new year! first I would like to start out by saying this year is the year of the Double Portion and God is going to reward us double for our Obedience, so I admonish you to let the past stay right where you left it and press towards the mark of the high call (Philippians 3:14.) God told me to tell you that some of us are on the verge of a breakthrough, we have struggled or suffered for a very long time, now He's wiping that all away and we shall reign with Him. 2011 is bringing change to the body of Christ, where we was once in the background He is now bringing us to the forefront and giving us Authority to make decisions in our government and the world systems. If we add 20+1+1 it = 22 the biblical numerology for 22 is disorganization of things to a great degree, corruption and disintegration are magnified as well. God is saying He's going to destroy those leaders that has allowed disorganization, Corruption, and disintegration. to come to His house. 2011 is a year of preparation. He is getting His true church ready to take flight back with Him, those without spot or wrinkle (Ephesians 5:27). God is also bringing UNITY back to His body, we have experienced so much division and corruption that it has infected the body that is why the church has been so sick but thank God for the CURE. So let us come together and WIN.
