In today's segment we will be discussing the power to change. (change what you may ask?, Yourself and those around us.) Let us look up the meaning of Power- ability to act or produce an effect, : possession of control, authority, or influence over others, so if I'm understanding correctly, with power we have the ability and authority to change any situation. Luke 10:19 says: Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. The key part in this verse is that God has giving us all power over the enemy, so if we are exercising our authority, there should never be a time that the devil has the victory, whether it's in our lives or the lives of others. As Christians we find ourselves complaining about how this world is in bad shape, God has called us to do something about it, and that is to extend our God giving love to them. There are Men and Women that are bound and trapped in their minds with their identity and looking for a way out and we as a church is not offering them the way. John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. We are not offering them Jesus, we would rather judge them than to labor with that soul, we have more important things on our agenda than to see people giving their hearts to Christ. God is angry and He will judge this hypocritical church. We are more concerned with the outside of our beautiful edifice than the inside of the human soul. Ezekiel 18:4 says: Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. From what I understand this to mean is that the soul of the homosexual, thief, drug dealer, lesbian, liar, murderer and any other sinner belongs to God. In order for them to turn from their ways we must stop being so judgemental. When Jesus walked this earth He went from town to town spreading love no matter what the extent of the sin was. Remember the woman at the well, John 4, remember the sinner that washed His feet, Luke 7:36-50 and we can go on and on, let me ask you a question, are you better or more important than Jesus? My brothers and sisters it is time for us to change this world for Jesus with Love.
Be Blessed:
Servant AJ
