Bless You My Brothers and Sisters, In today's segment we will be dealing with our faith in Who and What we believe in. Let's get started, the word faith appears in the Bible (KJV) 247 times. Faith- confidence or trust in a person or thing: 2. belief that is not based on proof: Hebrews 11:1 says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The way we know our faith is activated is by believing it when there's no proof in sight, not wavering by any means, James 1:6 says it like this, But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. If we waver the enemy comes in and knocks us off course allowing our circumstances to draw a negative outcome to what we prayed for. In other words if we prayed to God for a financial blessing and we waver the devil will have us doubting, and how many of us know when we doubt it cancels out the previous prayer? Our belief must be so strong that even if it didn't happen we still believe that it will. Matthew 13:31-32 says: 31Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: 32Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. What this tells us is we have to start somewhere, once we practice with a little one day it increases and grows to be the largest plant able to provide for the birds. In other words when we believe God for a dollar and he provide it that increases our faith to believe Him for hundreds, then thousands, until one day it grows to millions, then we're able to provide for others. But we need to understand a key point, Faith is a Verb James 2:26 explains it like this: For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. This tells us when we pray, believe and then apply works to it. In my conclusion, there have been many times when we have become discouraged or disappointed when we didn't receive after praying and believing, I'm reminded of the father in Mark 9:24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. ( the meaning of unbelief here is, Unfaithfulness or Disobedience) We always expect God To be the giver and we be the receiver, but we need to reverse that and be the giver to Him. Let us stop expecting things if we can't hold up to our obligations and duties. (Remember what you said He called you to do..... Are you doing it?)

Mis-Quoted Bible Scriptures
In today's segment we are dealing with misquoted bible scriptures. So often we quote what we hear rather than studying the word of God for ourselves. 2 Timothy 2:15 says: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (the greek meaning for dividing is,to teach the truth directly and correctly.) In other words it simply means you have to know the word to teach it directly and correctly. Let's get started: One of the main scriptures we quote so often is God will throw your sins in the sea of forgetfulness. (misquote) Micah 7:19 says: He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. 2. God has giving us authority to tread over serpents and scorpions, also to speak to the mountains, we so often use this verse, speak those things that be not as though they were, this is how Romans 4:17 says it: (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. So this tells me that it is God who calls these things into existence not us. (misquote) 3. Here's one that we have been using through out the years when we are facing hard times in our lives, (God won't put no more on us than we our able to bear.) That actually came from the Koran. Our bible says it like this, 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. So this leads me to believe if there is a situation, trial or any other problem that We are facing God will provide an escape that we are able to endure. (misquote) 4. Here's one that sounds real good but it's not found in our bible, (where there is unity, there is strength.) I've heard preachers quote this saying for many years so one day I was preparing my sermon and I was looking for this particular verse and couldn't find it that's what lead me to begin studying for myself. 5. Now this verse has kept a lot of saints from prospering, money is the root of all evil. That's not bible, 1 Timothy 6:10 says it like this: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. That one key word changed the whole verse LOVE. When we start loving the money it makes us do thing we wouldn't ordinarily do (example,) it will make us kill, turn our backs on love ones, and do harm to people. .(misquote) 6. We have been taught that God said a liar won't tarry in His sight, if you read Psalms 101:7 that was actually david who said that, He was talking to God. So in my conclusion, hear the word but study it for yourself.

"Practical teaching for the Young"
First I would like to greet you in the name of Jesus. Let us get started. Today our Young is faced with so many Challenges & Temptations that if we are honest it is hard for them to live saved. They need a Preacher ( someone that lives and practice what they preach.), a Mentor (someone that believes in them and stick with them even when the times are tough and they fall into temptation.) or a real strong Mother (someone that's rooted and grounded in the word of God, a woman who has patience with them, that takes out time to call and check up on them. What really gets to me is how quick we (the church) judge them when they go to the world looking for fun and excitement, we must understand that the world has so much to offer our Young, They have the hypest music, the flyest clothes and a host of other things that captivate their attention. In no way am I trying to tell the church to compete with the world but we must step up our game. When I grew up in the church it was a sin to do just about anything, we couldn't go skating, play sports, or go to the school dance. Our lives was boring, that's why a lot of us quickly left the church when we turned 18 years old in search of something to fill that void. (Youth means energetic) it is very hard to keep our Young from expressing whats inside, they just need guidance and nurturing not criticism. So In my conclusion, the Church Community need to stop preaching at our Young and come together and think of ways to get our Young involved in some type of activity before we lose this generation.

Prayer & Fasting
Many times we are faced with situations (or better said, demonic forces) that seems impossible for us to conquer, we question God, ourselves, even others but never seems to get the answer we are looking for. Believe it or not every answer we need is found in the word of God. Sometimes we find ourselves fighting a losing battle all because we choose not to apply His word to that circumstance. Listen, if you are suffering with a headache you should have enough power to command it to leave, on the other hand if you are suffering with a life threatening Condition, Struggles, Tests or Trials beyond your control, then St. Matthew 17:21, and St. Mark 9:29 gives us the remedy on how to defeat it. ( 2 key words) Fasting and Prayer. We must know when, where & how to channel our Prayers & Fasting. When Christ left the earth he transferred all power to us (his Children) and assured us that greater works we would do than He did but remember he Prayed and Fasted. He didn't just use his gifts all the time to command or demand things to happen. Likewise we need to stay before Him in Prayer and stop trying to be Super Christians using our gifts and talents in every situation, because that will not get you out all the time. This world needs more Prayer & Fasting from us than Preaching, Prophesying and laying on of hands, don't get me wrong these gifts are good in their respected places But Prayer & Fasting is whats going to get us through these rough times.

Practical teaching for a better You.
Let me start out by saying, the Church has made living for Christ a complicated situation. Matt. 11:30 tells us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. It really can be a joy serving Christ, remember Ecclesiastes says there is a time for everything. (That includes having fun.) God does not require or expect us to always be somewhere praying or reading our bible, there are somethings that man have created for our enjoyment that God has no problem with us partaking in. I know there are a few things that God requires for us to do that will enhance our walk with him, so don't think I am trying to down play that, but I think we are depriving ourselves of living life to the fullest. Proverbs 11:1, 20:23 tells us that a false balance is an abomination, or not good. What this simply means is that you can live save and have fun. LET US STOP TRYING TO BE HOLIER THAN THOU and live life more happier and stable, because if you are unstable you will be unhappy. James 1:8 speaks against a double minded person, you will be unstable in all your ways (decisions, life, relationships, ect...) I want to make the best of this life He has giving Me, how about You?
